5 FLAVORS TO INCORPORATE INTO YOUR RESTAURANT MENU THIS FALL

To mark the beginning of Autumn, we’re starting to see popular fall flavors advertised in restaurants and grocery stores such as pumpkin pie and salted caramel. Just because these flavors are commonly incorporated in items like coffees and desserts, that doesn’t mean they can’t be added to the menu in other creative ways. Here are nine fall flavors you should add to your restaurant menu this season.

Pumpkin Pie Spice

PUMPKIN PIE SPICE PANCAKES

Although more popular in sweets, pumpkin spice isn’t just to satisfy the average sweet tooth. Our Pumpkin Pie Spice contains cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg, spices that are often used in many Caribbean and Middle Eastern entrees. Adding these types of dishes to your menu adds that fun Fall twist without sacrificing flavor.

Apple

From apple pie to apple cider, apples are the original staple of the fall season. The great thing about them is that they are so versatile and can be used in every meal from breakfast to dessert and in between. Try incorporating a fall harvest salad with leafy greens, root crops, and chopped apples topped with Everything Bagel Seasoning or simply using diced apples as a garnish on a meat-based meal.

Maple

Remember the days when maple syrup was just something you poured over pancakes? Now maple syrup is an ingredient that can be served on pretty much anything. Adding maple syrup to a staple cocktail like an Old Fashioned or Whiskey Sour with Nutmeg or Clove can put that autumn touch on any happy hour.

Cinnamon

This spice has many different health properties and can be used with great flexibility. Incorporate it in desserts, beverages, and savory meals. You can even pair cinnamon with any other flavor listed in this blog and it’s certain to be a hit.

Fig

Figs are a sweet honey-like fruit in season from summer to the middle of fall and are a great way to welcome the transitioning of the seasons. Add figs to appetizers mixed with cheese and a sliced protein like bacon or prosciutto topped with some Allspice to satisfy both the sweet and salty flavor profiles.

Autumn is the transition from beach days to cozy, sweater-wearing nights. As the days begin to cool, offer your guests something warm and tasty that accentuates that fall vibe.
